The Milk Cellar

The Milk Cellar was built underground to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, as a storage for milk and butter only. It was not used as a root cellar for vegetables as the onions and other vegetables would have made the dairy  products taste bad. Mrs. Realy was a good business woman because she would hold her butter until the price went up and then she would sell it to the
market in Waterloo.
